Startup Innovation Awards

Meet the Semi-Final Judges and the Evaluators

Semi-final judges and evaluators for the WFF Startup Innovation awards, powered by XTC, have deep knowledge of, and experience in fields related to agrifood systems and in particular, the four categories of the challenge:

  • Digital Innovation in Food Processing,
  • Empowering Women in Agrifood Systems Award,
  • Food Loss, and
  • Good Food for All, for Today and Tomorrow Award.

Evaluators review applicant submissions (including key information on the team, challenge addressed, product and market) assessing for quality, potential for agrifood systems transformation and feasibility. Expert evaluations are submitted to the WFF and XTC team and shortlisted teams for the Startup Innovation Awards are chosen through consultations between Evaluators and the WFF/XTC team. Semi-final judges carefully review the semi-finalists’ pitches in one of the four categories of the challenge.
