Design theme
Our agrifood systems are under pressure, from climate change and conflict to rising inequality and food waste. While around 733 million people face hunger, others confront growing obesity and unsustainable consumption. At the same time, agrifood systems are a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, but they also hold immense potential for climate action.
This year’s theme calls for collective solutions. Governments, farmers, youth, scientists, businesses and consumers all have a role in creating a future where nutritious, affordable and sustainable food is available for all. It is about working hand in hand, locally and globally, to take action, reduce waste, protect our planet and build more inclusive agrifood systems.
Call to action: Our actions are our future.
