WFF opens calls for side events/exhibitions and partner delegations to its flagship event (17-21 October)
The World Food Forum (WFF) is pleased to invite partner youth delegations to pre-register for its second annual flagship event from 17 to 21 October in Rome, Italy.
The event is an opportunity for young people and youth allies across the globe to connect on the topics of food and agriculture, providing a space to voice their perspectives and contribute their ideas on agrifood systems transformation.
Delegations are invited to participate in the WFF flagship event, which culminates all the activities and dialogues held throughout the year, including a Youth Action Assembly, innovation awards, educational activities, capacity development workshops, exhibitions, side events and cultural activities.
Partners can nominate their delegations by 31 July through this form.
This year, the WFF has adopted the theme of "Healthy Diets. Healthy Planet.", to raise awareness on the connection between dietary and planetary health, as well as to co-identify bold, actionable solutions to minimize and mitigate climate change impacts in our lifetime while simultaneously increasing global access to safe and nutritious food and healthy diets. In this context, it is essential to consider how youth can be empowered to transform our agrifood systems towards a better food future and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
To complement the mainstage events, the WFF also invites partners to organize virtual or in-person (hybrid) side events and/or exhibitions to share their vision, along with key innovations and programmes. These events and exhibitions are expected to deepen the discussion on agrifood systems transformation, and provide an interactive and inclusive space for young people to intervene, promote ideas and spark action.
Partners are invited to apply for an in-person side event and/or exhibition by 31 July and for virtual ones by 31 August 2022.
