WFF National Youth Chapter
Spain

About the WFF Spain Youth Chapter
Spain is a country deeply rooted in agriculture. Its diverse geography and climate enable rich agricultural production, making the sector a key part of the national economy. With a population of 48 million, the country faces both opportunities and pressing challenges from rural depopulation and climate change to recurring droughts that impact its agrifood systems.
The WFF Spain Youth Chapter was established to respond to these realities by empowering young people to lead the transformation of Spain's agrifood systems. Through collaborations, education and advocacy, the Chapter works closely with institutions, ministries and national stakeholders to drive sustainable change.
Vision
To build an inclusive, united platform where youth from across Spain can innovate, collaborate and lead agrifood systems transformation.
Objectives
- Empower youth action by increasing engagement across the agrifood systems value chain.
- Support young leaders in addressing agrifood systems challenges through collective action.
- Host inclusive national dialogues, like the Spanish Youth Food Forum, to reflect youth perspectives in global processes.
- Build strategic partnerships at national and international levels to strengthen youth-led solutions.
The WFF Spain Youth Chapter Team
The Chapter brings together young professionals from diverse fields across the country to lead the transformation of agrifood systems. Working in collaboration with key institutions and partners, the Chapter focuses on action, advocacy and youth empowerment. The Polytechnic University of Madrid has been instrumental in the Chapter's formation and continues to play a key role in driving its activities.
The team is structured into four working groups: Education, Policy and Advocacy, Partnerships, and Communication.
