From Mountains to Rivers, One World: Children’s art exhibition at FAO headquarters

The World Food Forum (WFF)’s Global Youth Action Initiative and the Organizing Committee of the “Such a Big World, I Have a Beautiful Home” International Children’s Art Exhibition, are hosting “From Mountains to Rivers, One World” at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, during the 2025 WFF flagship event.
Now in its tenth edition, the exhibition has been showcased in over 50 venues worldwide. The 2025 edition, “From Mountains to Rivers, One World,” is jointly organized by FAO Country Office in China, the China Evening News Photographers Association, the China Beijing Laoshe Art and Culture and the exhibition’s Organizing Committee, with philanthropic support from World Cultural Exchange LLC and Gravitas Group.
The exhibition features over 80 artworks, selected from more than 4 000 submissions from across five continents. These vibrant creations portray mountains, rivers, forests and farmlands, capturing the aspirations of the next generation for a sustainable and food-secure future. Through their brushstrokes, children turn themes such as ecological protection, biodiversity and food security into a visual dialogue. Visitors encounter a rich diversity of ecosystems and species, from birds resting on the backs of rhinos to fish swimming in clear rivers and tigers roaming lush jungles.
The exhibition reminds us that children’s art does not need to follow scientific precision to hold power. Instead, it radiates kindness toward life, a universal value that bridges human development and environmental protection. This emotional connection calls to act together for a better food future.
