Meet our Transformative Research Challenge Expert Reviewers and Become a Mentor
Sixteen specialists from FAO and the WFF’s partners have accepted the challenge to become expert reviewers for our Transformative Research Challenge (TRC). These talented professionals are at the top of their fields, working in food governance, nutrition, academia, sustainable innovation, nutrition security, environmental engineering, fisheries, aquaculture and more.
Through a coordinated grading process, this expert review panel will shortlist the 8 to 12 proposals submitted to the TRC that show the greatest potential to transform our agri-food systems in the four categories of Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment and Better Life.
But the challenge does not stop there. The WFF is now looking for scientists, researchers, innovators and other professionals to mentor the shortlisted TRC candidates. Mentors will help the shortlisted teams turn their concept notes into sound research papers, which will then be presented at the TRC finals on the virtual WFF global stage in October 2021.
Do you have five or more years of professional experience in agri-food systems related topics? Help empower young researchers and show your commitment to a better food future for all by applying to be a volunteer TRC mentor today.
