World Food Forum 2024 Launch Event: Good food for all, for today and tomorrow
Date: Thursday 25 April, 2024
Time: 12:00-13:30 CEST
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Centre (FAO)/Hybrid
After three successful editions of the World Food Forum (WFF) over the past years, the WFF has established itself as a truly global movement that reaches across generations, sectors and cultures growing initiatives that strive to create a more sustainable, resilient, inclusive and hunger-free future. With a vision that intertwines youth empowerment, innovation, investments, inclusivity, science-backed evidence and partnerships, the WFF is now gearing up for a series of ambitious endeavors to accelerate its support for agrifood systems transformation in the years to come.
With this in mind, the WFF will launch its 2024 cycle with a dynamic kickoff event encompassing the Global Youth Forum, the FAO Science and Innovation Forum and the FAO Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum. The event will shed light on this year’s theme - “Good food for all, for today and tomorrow” - and initiatives in the lead up to and during the WFF flagship event from 14-18 October. In addition, it will also provide an overview of the World Food Day celebrations and the UN Decade of Family Farming Mid-Term Forum, which will be organized during the same week.
