Needs Assessment

Throughout 2025 the Youth Education Programme collected information from a survey and subsequent consultations on the skills and education requirements of young people interested in agrifood systems. This needs assessment, which will be published here, will:

  • Inform the expansion of the WFF Youth Initiative’s capacity development, which will use the Agrifood Leadership Education Programme, National Youth Chapters and other mechanisms to prepare young people for the future of agrifood systems jobs markets.
  • Inform the WFF Youth Initiative’s strategy for engaging with WFF National Youth Chapters, NGOs and other external stakeholders.
  • Identify the skills and employment needs of young people to successfully gain employment in the agrifood sector, in their local communities.
