The YFL Network
In 2024, the Youth Food Lab (YFL) started localizing its efforts to empower young innovators and nurture innovations that are fit to change the world's agrifood systems. The YFL Network brings together the local labs across regions, each responding to its own agrifood systems challenges while operating within a shared global framework.
By supporting youth-led enterprises, the Labs improve business performance, create jobs and strengthen market linkages. They empower young agripreneurs to innovate, adapt and lead in dynamic contexts, while connecting them to policy, finance and private-sector actors. This model is designed to scale globally, while remaining flexible enough to reflect local realities and priorities.

Reasons to establish a YFL and join the YFL Network
Make an impact
By establishing a YFL, you join a global network driving youth entrepreneurship and innovation. You empower young people to turn ideas into action, create collaborative community spaces and build a pipeline of impactful innovators who strengthen local programming and attract support and investment.
Build your social capital
As part of the network, you gain access to strategic connections with leading international organizations, including the United Nations and FAO. These relationships enable knowledge exchange, resource mobilization and partnerships that amplify the impact of youth-led initiatives.
Leverage your reach
The YFL provides platforms to showcase local innovation on regional and global stages, increasing visibility for young changemakers and strengthening credibility within your community. Through global events, digital platforms and the wider YFL network, local coordinators can elevate success stories, connect with partners and expand opportunities for future collaboration.
