Application deadline: 14 August, 23:59 (CEST)
Join us as a volunteer at the 2026 WFF flagship event: Shape the innovations of today to nourish tomorrow
Are you based in Rome, Italy, passionate about agrifood systems and want to experience organizing a high-level international event?
The World Food Forum (WFF) is looking for volunteers for the 2026 WFF flagship event, taking place from 8 to 16 October at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, under the theme “Innovate Today. Nourish tomorrow.".
This is your chance to be part of a transformative experience and help shape the future of agrifood systems. As a volunteer, you will be at the centre of the action, supporting FAO's and the WFF's mission to drive positive change and foster meaningful interactions among global leaders, experts, young leaders and stakeholders from across agrifood systems.
The event is organized around three key pillars: Global Youth Action, Science and Innovation, and Hand-in-Hand Initiative. Volunteers will assist in facilitating sessions, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and other on-site activities.
The WFF is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are available during the week of 12-16 October, as well as those who can support pre-event preparations from 8-11 October. Volunteers are strongly recommended to attend an introductory session in person on 9 October at the FAO headquarters.
During the event, you will have the chance to work across areas such as youth, science, innovation and investment and be part of World Food Day. While we will consider your preferences, placements cannot be guaranteed.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, connect with peers from around the world, and support global dialogue on agrifood systems. English proficiency is required. Knowledge of additional United Nations official languages is an asset.
Do not miss this opportunity! Apply by 14 August to be part of the global conversation shaping the future of food and agriculture.
