The Thematic Youth Assembly sessions and consultations are inclusive, action-oriented platforms that engage young people in key policy areas essential to transforming agrifood systems and advancing sustainable development. They aim to empower youth as changemakers and active participants in global, regional and national policy processes.
Objectives
Drive youth engagement across ten priority thematic areas that are essential to sustainable agrifood systems;
Amplify youth perspectives through structured dialogues and consultations that bring together young people’s technical expertise, perspectives collected through lived experiences, and innovative ideas to inform policy priorities and global agendas;
Link youth-led action to intergovernmental processes by generating evidence-based recommendations that contribute directly to international frameworks, conventions, and decision-making platforms on food and agriculture;
Encourage interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration by fostering inclusive spaces where youth from diverse cultural, educational and professional backgrounds co-create holistic and impactful solutions.
