Education initiatives broadened access to agrifood learning

Education initiatives broadened access to agrifood learning

Through CultivatEd, the AgX Fair and the Agrifood Leadership Education Programme (ALEP), the WFF Youth Initiative engaged thousands of young people and educators world-wide. These initiatives provided practical learning opportunities and strengthened skills development, including through targeted capacity development sessions delivered via the Youth Skills Hub.

Cultural engagement positioned food, heritage and creativity as tools for transformation

The Young Chefs Programme, Sustainable Gastronomy Week and new collaborations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), and WORLDCHEFS elevated youth voices and cultural expression within agrifood systems dialogue.

Local action strengthened community-level impact

Local action strengthened community-level impact

The WFF network expanded to 62 National Youth Chapters across all FAO regions. These chapters implemented a diverse portfolio of youth-led projects focusing on climate resilience, sustainable production, nutrition outreach, women’s empowerment and youth livelihoods. Collectively, they mobilized hundreds of volunteers, engaged thousands of community members through awareness activities and trainings, and demonstrated how youth-led initiatives can translate global priorities into concrete local solutions.
